Configuring Roster Display Settings

The Display Settings for the Roster will dictate which member info fields are visible for all Roster Profiles. The settings selected here are not absolute, as a registered member will be able to override these selections as they see fit. There are few exceptions as to which fields members can override the global settings for. These fields are:

  • Gender - Administrators have the ability to dictate whether the Gender is displayed or not for  Roster Profiles and this can't be overriden by a member
  • Member Type/Dues Class - Administrators have the ability to dictate whether Member Type/Dues Class is displayed or not for Roster Profiles and this can't be overriden by a member.

In order for a field to be displayed in a Roster Profile, the configuration for the field must be enabled.The fields that will be displayed in a Roster Profile and the Roster List are as follows:

Primary Contact Fields

The Primary Contact Fields are comprised of two fields that will be displayed in both the Roster List and the Roster Profile of a member. The options displayed in this area are to be utilized as the Default setting for all members. The two fields that comprise the Primary Contact Fields are the Primary Contact Phone and the Primary Contact Email.

Primary Contact Phone 

The phone numbers available to be displayed in this field, depend on what phone numbers a member will have attached to their Address Information. The available options are:

  • None (No Default will be set)
  • Home Phone Number
  • Home Alternate Phone Number
  • Business Phone Number
  • Mobile Phone Number

The selection made in this configuration will only display this information for the member if the following requirments are met:

  1. The member has set their Home or Buisness number to be displayed in the associated Address Information
  1. The member has not chosen to modify this selection within their own Roster Profile. In order to determine if a specific member has chosen to override this global setting you will need to follow these steps:
    1. Navigate to the Roster List on the website
    2. Locate the member in question utlizing the Roster Search
    3. Click on the member's name to view their Roster Profile
    4. Click on the pencil icon to edit their profile

Within the Primary Contact area you will see the message "Club Default Privacy Settings in Effect" if the member has not modified their Roster Profile before.

Primary Contact Email

The email addresses that are available to be displayed in this field, depend on what email addresses the member will have attached to their Address information. The available options are:

  • None (No Default will be set)
  • Home Email Address
  • Business Email Address

In order for the email address to be an available selection in the Primary Contact area, it must be set to 'visible' in the Emails section of the member's Roster Profile.

Note: Members have the ability to override these global settings and select their own value for these fields. 

Personal Info Fields

The Personal Info Fields is comprised of information uploaded from your club's A/R system. This information is generally only visible to the member's and is not editable by them.

Profession

This option controls whether a member's Profession will be displayed in their Roster Profile. This is not an editable field in the Roster and this default setting can be overriden by the member.

Mobile Phone

This option controls whether a member's Mobile Phone number will be displayed in the Roster Profile

  • Allow Mobile Phone Update - Enabling this option will allow member's to update their Mobile Phone number via Editing their Roster Profile information. This option is only available to Jonas Club Managment A/R users.

Birthdate

This option controls whether a member's Birthdate will be displayed in their Roster Profile. This information will be displayed in a Month/Day format. This field is not an editable field in the Roster and this default setting can be overriden by the member.

Birth Year

This option controls whether a member's Birth Year will be displyed in their Roster Profile. This information will be displayed as 'YYYY'. This information can only be displayed if the Birthdate has been set to show. This is not an editable field in a member's Roster Profile and this default setting can be overriden by the member.

Gender

This option controls whether a member's Gender will be displayed in their Roster Profile. This information will be displayed as either Male or Female. This default setting can be overriden by the member.

  • Remove Gender from Roster - This option will allow you to hide the Gender field from the Roster completely, which will prevent members from seeing it as field in their own Roster Profile.

Relatives

This option controls whether a member's Relatives will be displayed in their Roster Profile. This default setting can be overriden by the member.

Date Joined

This option controls whether the date a member joined the club will be visible in their Roster Profile. This information will be displayed as Month/DD/YYYY. This not an editable field and this defualt setting can be overriden by the member.

Title

This option controls whether a member's Title will be displayed in the Roster List and within the member's their Roster Profile. This is not and editable field and this default setting can be overriden by the member.

Suffix

This option controls whether a member's Suffix will be displayed in the Roster List and within the member's Roster Proflie. This is not an editable field and this defualt setting can be overriden by the member.

Display Member Type/Dues Class

This option controls whether a member's Member Type/Dues Class will be displayed in their Roster Profile. If this option is not enabled, members will not be able to see the field at all and as such will not be able to override this setting.

Address Information

The default options listed in this section will allow you to dictate not only which addresses are displyed within a member's Roster Profile but also which associated information will be displayed as well. Your club's A/R system will upload all addresses on file for each member displayed in the Roster List.

Home Address

These are the following fields that can be displayed for the Home Address by enabling the default setting. These fields are all editable and the default setting can be overriden by the member.

  • Address
    • Use City, State and Country - This default setting will allow the City, State and Country fields from your club's A/R to be displayed in the Address Information for the member's Roster Profile. This option will only display information for CSG and Encore A/R system users. This is an editable field and  this default setting can be overridden by the member.
      • Disable Edit of State and Country - If you wish to prevent your members from being able to update the State and Country fields of their Address Information, this option will need to be enabled. This option will only affect information for CSG and Encore A/R system users.
  • Zip
  • Phone
  • Alt Phone
  • Fax

Note: The Phone and Alt Phone number listed in this address would need to be enabled here or set to 'visible' in the member's Roster Profile in order for them to appear as an option in the Primary Contact Phone field.

Business Address

These are the address fields that can be displayed for the Business Address by enabling the default setting. These fields are all editable and the default setting can be overriden by the member.

  • Address
    • Use City, State and Country - This default setting will allow the City, State and Country fields from your club's A/R to be displayed in the Address Information for the member's Roster Profile. This option will only display information for CSG and Encore A/R system users. This is an editable field and  this default setting can be overridden by the member.

Other Addresses

These are the address fields that can be displayed for Other Addresses by enabling the default setting. These fields are all editable and the default setting can be overriden by the member.

  • Address
  • ZIp
  • Phone

Emails

Each physical address will have a corressponding email address associated with. The email configuration option attached to each address will allow you to dicatate which email addresses will be visible within a member's Roster Profile. This fields are editable and the default setting can be overriden by the member. The addresses that can have an email address displayed for them are as follows:

  • Home
  • Business

Note: These email addresses would need to be set to 'display' in order for them to be avaialble values in the Primary Contact Email area of the member's Roster Profile.

Additional Info Fields

The Additional Info Fields area of the Roster Profile is comprised of Custom Fields that are uinque to each club. These Custom Fields can be uploaded from the club's A/R system or they can Web-Only Custom Fields. The activation of this area will display all fields by defualt, but members have the ability to override this setting. For more information on Custom Fields click here.
