BBPOS WisePad 3 Information

The WisePad 3 features a display and PIN pad, which facilitates usage in countries where PIN-authenticated transactions are more common.

 

Setting up your BBPOS WisePad 3 reader:

1.  Charge the reader: Connect the charging cable to the reader and charge it for two to three hours before initial use. Please use the charging cable provided in the reader box. Recharge the reader at the end of day or shift.
2.  Turn on the reader: Press and hold the power button located at the top right of the PIN pad. The display powers on and shows the device’s splash screen. The display dims after a few seconds of inactivity. If the reader is inactive and disconnected from your application for more than 5 minutes, it will beep and automatically power off.
3.  Pair with your point of sale (POS) application: 

• Confirm that the POS device’s Bluetooth and location services are turned on.  DO NOT pair the reader using the POS device’s Bluetooth settings menu. Instead, pair it using the Mobile POS application itself.
• Open the POS application on the POS device as shown:

• Pair the reader with the POS application by clicking discover reader and selecting the location and device from the list:

 

4.  Confirm the reader is paired: The device may take a few seconds to pair unless an update is required in which case it can take longer.  
5.  You’re now ready to collect a payment!
