Generate Link

The Generate Link option, allows clubs to use filters to create a link to show selected events on the calendar, making it look like a separate calendar. 

The online Calendar displays all events that have been created from JAM/Encore events and the website. It's not possible to create a separate calendar for each event type/category. However, by adjusting the available filters, clubs can make it look like a separate calendar. By using the Generate Link option, a unique link will be created to only display events that match the filters selected. ​This link can be used by inserting it anywhere on the website and/or email campaigns. This saves member's time from having to change the filters on their own. 
 
Note: Depending on where the link is accessed from, members may have to log in to the website before accessing the filtered calendar. They could still change the filters to see other events happening at the club. 

In order to access the Generate Link option follow these steps:

  1. Login to website with administrator account
  2. If the administrator is already on the Club Central side of the website
    • Click Live Site link on top right
  3. Navigate to calendar/event page on website
    • Easiest way to find calendar, add /EventManagement/EventCalendar.aspx to the clubs domain name
    • example: https://clubname_website.com/EventManagement/EventCalendar.aspx
  4. Use the Search box or Filter to customize the events to display on the calendar
  5. Choose Month, Week or List view that you want members to see by default
  6. Click Generate Link
  7. The Generate Calendar Link window will appear with a unique link
  8. Click Copy button 
    • ​
  9. On Screen it will temporarily display Link copied to clipboard
    • Use this link to create a hyperlink on another page on website or in an email campaign

To do a quick test open a new browser and paste the link to see if it opens up the calendar based on the filters.
 
Note: If this link was used in an email campaign, it would first ask members to login to website before taking them to the filtered calendar.
