Reports

After an email campaign has been sent with the email marketing module, statistics will be generated and can be accessed via different ways to view the reporting information.

Report Information


Reports Page Information

The Reports page, displays all campaigns that have been sent with a quick overview, such as how many contacts it was sent to, opened the email or clicked on a link. An email campaign can be selected from this page to view the Campaign Overview and report statistics. 

Note: A report cannot be deleted manually, it is associated with a sent email. When a sent email campaign is deleted though, the reporting information will be deleted automatically. To keep a record, reports can be exported before the sent email is deleted.

To View the Reports Page

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. Select Reports > Reports from the left navigation.

Buttons Across the Top 

  • View Report - Use this to see full report details. Button is enabled after the plus sign is clicked and the checkbox is selected. 
  • Compare - Statistics of two or more email campaigns will display. Button is enabled after the plus sign is clicked and the checkbox is selected for 2 or more email campaigns.
  • Export - Option to export and view report information in a file.
  • Print - The email campaign reports table can be printed or saved as a file, as it appears on screen. 
  • Refresh - Recalculate information displayed on reports page.

Table Information

  • Name - Internal name of email campaign.
  • Subject - Subject line contacts saw in their inbox when the email was sent.
  • Emails Sent - Number of contacts the email was sent to.
  • Last Sent - Date and time email was sent.
  • Recipients - The list or segments that were sent the email.
  • Action - Select magnifying glass icon to see preview of the email.
  • Gear icon (Show/Hide Column) - Select gear icon to show/hide columns in the email campaign reports table.

View Report Details

When viewing report details, an administrator can choose to view the quick overview or report statistics.

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. Select Reports > Reports from the left navigation.
  3. Select plus sign beside the name of an email campaign, this will turn into a minus sign.
  4. The quick overview will be revealed, displaying Emails sent, Delivered, Opened etc.
  5. To view reports statistic from quick overview,
    • Select the date or number found under the columns revealed in the quick statistics, to drill down on specific information.
    • Select name of campaign from the table or select the checkbox and select View Report at the top, to access campaign overview 


Report Statistics

Allows an administrator to see information for a specific email campaign. There are different reports to choose from in the Report Statistics page and the information could be exported.

Access from Reports

An email campaign can be selected from this page to view the Report Statistics. 

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. Select Reports > Reports from the left navigation.
  3. Click name of campaign from the table to view Report Statistics
    • If the plus sign beside the name of an email campaign was clicked on, the quick statics will display instead. 
  4. The Email Campaign Report will show the Campaign Overview by default.

Access from Dashboard

The Dashboard is the default page an administrator will land on after logging and provides quick access to view reports. For more details about the dashboard see Dashboard, Exports and Message Center.

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. By default, the Dashboard will already be selected from the left navigation.
  3. At the bottom right, select More Reports. The reports page will open, listing all email campaigns that have been sent.
  4. Click name of campaign from the table.
  5. The Email Campaign Report will show the Campaign Overview by default.

Access from Email Campaigns

Reports can be accessed from the Email Campaigns table.

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. Select Email Campaigns from the left navigation.
  3. Under Status column, change search option from All to Sent.
    • Only campaigns that have been sent will have reports.
  4. Under Action (last column on the right), select the bar graph icon. Or select checkbox beside name of campaign and from the action bar at the top, click More > Report. 
  5. The Email Campaign Report will show the Campaign Overview by default.

Access from Message Center

After an email is sent successfully, a message should appear in the Message Center to notify administrators the email is sent, the report can be access through this message. For more details about the Message Center, see Dashboard, Exports and Message Center.

  1. Log in to website and access Email Marketing Module.
  2. Select Message Center from the left navigation.
  3. Select the message that displays "Subject of the message was successfully sent (Read More)".
  4. Click View Report.
  5. The Email Campaign Report will show the Campaign Overview by default.

Campaign Overview

By default, the Campaign Overview report will be displayed, after the name of a campaign has been selected.
The Campaign Overview has buttons across the top, a list of reports to choose from on the left and the page split into 4 sub sections.

Action Bar Buttons Across the Top

  • Export - Option to export and view report information in a file. Once the export has been completed, the files will be available for download in .zip format in the Message Center.
  • Print - Option to save/print information on screen.
  • Refresh - Refresh and show the most current activity in the report.

On the left: 

Campaign Reports - Goes back to the Reports page to select a different campaign to see report statistics.
Campaign Overview - Shows statistics overview for Email Activity, Email Delivery, Email Preview and Device Type.
Email Activity or Email Delivery - Select one of the reports to see specific details about the email in the right pane.

4 sub sections:

  • Email Activity - Top left, displays the recipient activity for the email campaign including how many recipients Opened, Clicked, Subscribed, Replied (if Reply Tracking was enabled), Unsubscribed, Complained.
  • Email Delivery - Bottom left, displays the delivery rate for the email campaign including how many emails were Sent, Delivered, Bounced, Hard Bounced, Soft Bounced.
  • Email Preview - Top right, displays a preview of the email campaign.
  • Device Type - Bottom right, displays a pie chart of how many recipients opened the email campaign on a desktop versus a mobile device.

From the Campaign Overview, administrators can select the number found in the Email Activity or Email Delivery sub section to show additional details. 

On the Left, select any report under Campaign Overview to see details.
Example with Clicked Report: Statistics to see links that were clicked from an email campaign, who clicked and how many times. 

  • Tracked Link Name column - Displays the Reporting name that was created when a text or image link was created. The reporting name for button links will always be the full link image/text/button link that was selected in the email.
    • Hover over to access hyperlink. 
    • Click the Tracked link Name to see details for that link. 
  • Unique Clicks - Number of different contacts that selected the link.
    • Click number under Unique clicks to see details for that link. 
  • Total Clicks - Total number of times a link was clicked; one contact could have clicked on the link two or three times. 
  • Select the tracked link name to show which contact clicked on a link and how many times.

Details for a link shown in the image below:

  • Clicked though link name: name of the link, this name could be customized for text and image links.
  • Each row will show the name of contact who selected the link, email address, date and time last clicked and number of times they clicked the link (Total Clicked).

Note: The reports will not display which recipients were selected to receive the message. However, this can be found in Email Campaigns > Recipients column to show which lists or segments were selected.
